Meet Liam Stewart-Inkson, Sales Engineer at VA Technology

“I started my career in engineering as an apprentice through In-Comm Training. From a young age, I have always been fascinated by all things mechanical—whether it was playing with building toys, taking things apart to understand how they worked, or building and creating projects at school. I wanted a job that would challenge me mentally, and engineering felt like the perfect fit. Being somewhat indecisive, I was drawn to the broad spectrum of industries and applications within engineering, knowing that this career path would allow me to discover my true passion and work towards it.

Every manufacturing company has its unique challenges, requirements, and needs. In my previous role as an Automation and Service Engineer, my favourite part of the job was interacting with customers to identify improvements we could make and how our equipment could better serve their needs. There’s a great sense of reward in making positive changes to a customer processes, and that’s what motivates me every day.

Careers at VA Technology

This naturally led me to my current position as a Sales Engineer at VA Technology. I thrive on the challenge of collaborating with our systems design team to develop solutions for a wide range of customer enquiries—whether it’s a simple slurry sensor or a fully automated system designed to process hundreds of parts daily. The sheer variety of projects makes every day different, keeping things exciting. There’s always something new to learn in engineering, and with each project, I gain fresh knowledge and opportunities to grow.

I am proud to be part of a company that drives innovation in shell-making. Exploring how new products can enhance our shellroom systems allows me to continue doing what I love most about my role: delivering solutions to challenges that fully meet our customers’ needs,” said Liam Stewart-Inkson, Sales Engineer.
