Successful Partnership:
Upskilling for Manufacturing Excellence
VA Technology is proud to announce the continued success of our strategic partnership with In-Comm Training, supporting the upskilling and development of our workforce across engineering and manufacturing disciplines.
As the UK engineering sector faces increasing pressure from labour and skills shortages, VA Technology remains committed to investing in its people. Through tailored training programmes delivered by In-Comm Training, VA Technology team members are gaining advanced competencies in welding, fabrication, electrical wiring, and mechanical fitting, all critical to the manufacture and installation of our shellroom systems.
“In-Comm Training is proud to work alongside VA Technology in addressing one of the UK’s most pressing workforce challenges – the shrinking labour pool. Apprentices are playing an increasingly vital role in delivering integrated solutions for employers across the country, and VA Technology stands out as a true champion of early careers”, comments Tammy Boydon, from In-Comm Training. “Over the past two years, we have supported VA Technology in successfully placing 13 apprentices within their engineering department. This commitment reflects the company’s dedication to nurturing the next generation of manufacturing and engineering professionals through investment, mentoring, coaching, and hands-on support.”
With three dedicated fabrication workshops and a manufacturing team of over 100 individuals, VA Technology in-house expertise ensures that every shellroom system is built to the highest standards and installed seamlessly at customer sites. Upskilling initiatives have enhanced safety, efficiency, and technical precision across our operations, reinforcing the company’s reputation as a trusted supplier of automated shellroom solutions for investment casting.
“A strong team is built not just on talent, but on the growth of its individuals. Finding the right training provider can turn potential into performance”, commented Jenna Zammit, from VA Technology. “We have been pleased to partner with In-Comm Training Services for the last three years. Their comprehensive training programs and fully equipped workshops give our team the skills they need to acquire new skills and build confidence in their abilities.”
This partnership reflects the company’s long-term commitment to workforce development, operational excellence, and industry innovation. VA Technology is proud to be recognised as Apprentice SME of the Year at the IC-Awards 2025, which is a testament to the strength of its apprenticeship and training programmes. “By inspiring young people and providing meaningful career pathways, VA Technology continues to lead by example, proving that apprenticeships are not just a solution, but a strategic advantage,” said Tammy Boydon.
