VA Technology Named Apprentice SME of the Year
at the IC-Awards 2025

We are proud to announce that VA Technology has been awarded Apprentice SME of the Year at the IC-Awards 2025. This recognition celebrates our commitment to developing the next generation of talent in engineering and manufacturing.

The awards evening, hosted by In-Comm Training, brought together employers, apprentices, and industry leaders to honour the achievements of those shaping the future of UK manufacturing and engineering. It was a fantastic night of celebration, and we were delighted to stand alongside fellow finalists and the inspiring team at In-Comm, who are true advocates for apprenticeships, vocational learning and STEM careers.

Apprenticeship Excellence at VA Technology

This award reflects the strength and impact of our apprenticeship programme, which offers meaningful opportunities to Year 1 and Year 2 apprentices across the business. From day one, our apprentices are fully integrated into the team, supported by experienced mentors and supervisors who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and helping new talent thrive in their learning and personal development.

Celebrating Our Learner of the Year Finalists

A special congratulations goes to Joshua Bradshaw and George Cooper, who were both shortlisted for Learner of the Year. Their dedication, growth, and professionalism, both at In-Comm and, for George, here at VA Technology in his second year, are a credit to their hard work and the support they’ve received throughout their apprenticeship journey.

Building the Future of Engineering

VA Technology specialises in providing complete shellroom systems and equipment, along with total foundry automation systems. Our extensive experience spans the design, manufacture, installation, and servicing of shell manufacturing equipment within the investment casting industry.

Our partnership with In-Comm Training in Telford has enabled us to welcome Level 3 and HNC Level 4 apprentices, who gain hands-on experience in areas such as fitting, turning, and milling, welding and electrical systems, CNC machining and CAD, and fluid power and system integration. We believe that apprenticeships are more than just project work. Our apprenticeship programs create space to study, grow, and learn directly from professionals with 10+ years of mechanical and electrical experience.

As we prepare to welcome a new cohort of future engineers, we remain committed to nurturing talent, promoting STEM careers, and investing in the future of our industry.
