An insight into a career with Team VA

Having a collaborative environment between departments encourages creative problem-solving and creativity by bouncing ideas off colleagues. Hear from Ahmad Sabbah, our Design Engineer, about his time at VA Technology USA and how collaboration between departments can enhance skills and knowledge.

“As a mechatronics engineer, I decided to join VA Technology’s controls design engineering as this was an attractive opportunity to learn more about electrical engineering and applications. Taking this pathway has expanded the knowledge I gained at university with hands-on practical learning when getting stuck into engineering projects”.

“Collaboration has been key during my time at VA Technology. Based in the USA, we regularly work with the UK engineering team to discuss projects and share knowledge to bring projects to completion”.

Ahmad recently spent a few weeks at our UK site to support his training and learning. “Working alongside the large engineering team in Telford (UK) has enabled me to share knowledge and keep up-to-date with techniques, processes, and methods used by team members. But the most important thing is the work environment – having a laugh now and then makes a difference!”
